MANAGER, ANALYST SUPPORT GROUP
Boston based investment management firm has an opening for a Manager, Analyst Support Group. The ideal candidate for the role should possess the following characteristics and qualifications:
~ Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 12 years of related and transferrable administrative skills; previous investment industry experience preferred
~ Proven, successful supervisory experience required; skilled at building collaborative team dynamics and establishing a solid, administrative inffastructure
~ Ability to work independently while at the same time work effectively in a collaborative structure with personnel throughout every level of the company
~ Extensive experience with Excel and Word; familiarity with Bloomberg and other
research services preferred, but not required
~ Effective communication skills, both written and oral
~ Strong organizational and problem solving skills
~ Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment with the ability to multi-task
This position will be accountable for the creation and management of an efficient and effective administrative team that supports an active trading room, assisting the firm's Managing Directors and Investment Analysts. The primary responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
Develop and direct efforts of four analyst assistants: provide training, oversee and improve performance; coach, mentor and provide on-going feedback; actively facilitate effective team environment; consider staffing adequacy
Manage and maintain administrative inffastructure of the Trading Floor, including: certain trading floor systems and procedures, e.g. templates, databases, spreadsheets etc.; equipment maintenance and management; filing systems and electronic retention guidelines; subscriptions; calendars and meeting arrangements; travel coordination; organize staff scheduling and coverage
Supervise the activities ofthe administrative staff: screening and directing various communications, including answering and directing incoming calls; distributing faxes, assisting with the opening and organizing of mail; managing calendars and making travel and meeting arrangements for investment staff; maintaining various company databases, contacts, and files; collecting and organizing research using Bloomberg and other research services; preparing expense reports; drafting various correspondences and personal assistance.
